Confined space course

The course, as required by the Presidential Decree 177/2011, is aimed at those who work in various capacities in different environments suspected of pollution and, above all, to all those micro and small enterprises that deal with reclamation and / or maintenance in confined environments.

DURATION 12-16 hours

PROGRAM – THEORY PART 8 HOURS

  • reference legislation: Legislative Decree 81/08 and related circulars and Presidential Decree 177/11;
  • characteristics of confined spaces;
  • identification of hazards and risks with illustration of the problems related to variations in oxygen and dangerous gases, flammable substances and dusts with definition of short and long-term health limits;
  • definition of specific procedures;
  • “safe” access in confined spaces;
  • dangerous agents: asphyxiating, toxic, flammable, explosive substances;
  • emergency procedures;
  • Personal protective equipment of the respiratory system;
  • Personal protective equipment of the skin;
  • Personal Protective Equipment for fall-arrest;
  • Recovery and rescue of an injured person.

PROGRAM – PRACTICAL PART 4-8 HOURS

  • Training in the use of Gas Detectors and explosive atmospheres;
  • use of fall-arrest devices and PPE, filtering masks and self-contained breathing apparatus;
  • main emergency maneuvers and recovery of an injured person.

CERTIFICATE

With a course attendance of at least 90% following the training hours and following passing the final test, each participant will receive a certificate of participation pursuant to the State-Regions Agreement 21 December 2011, which is valid throughout the national territory.
