High-risk fire prevention course

The course is aimed at workers who have been designated by the employer to play the role of fire prevention officers and management of possible dangers caused by any emergencies in companies defined as having “high risk of fire” or workplaces where, due to the presence of highly flammable substances and/or local and/or operating conditions, there are considerable chances of developing fires and, in the initial phase, strong chances of the flames spreading.

DURATION 16 hours

PROGRAMME

  • Principles of combustion and fire;
  • The extinguishing substances;
  • Combustion triangle;
  • Risks to people and the environment;
  • The main causes of a fire and risks to people;
  • Main measures and measures for prevention and protection against fires;
  • Procedures to be adopted when a fire is discovered or in the event of an alarm;
  • Escape routes and evacuation procedures;
  • Relations with the Fire Brigade;
  • Extinguishing equipment and systems;
  • Alarm systems, safety signs, emergency lighting;
  • Notes and explanations on the most widespread means of extinction;
  • Notes and explanations on personal protective equipment;
  • Exercises on the use of portable fire extinguishers and how to use the nozzles and hydrants.

CERTIFICATE

With a course attendance of at least 90% following the training hours and following passing the final test, each participant will receive a certificate of participation pursuant to the State-Regions Agreement 21 December 2011 and based on the Ministerial Decree 10 March 98, which is valid throughout the national territory.
