High-risk fire prevention refresher course

The course is aimed at workers with the role of firefighters and the management of possible dangers caused by any company emergencies defined as having “high risk of fire” who have already attended the 16-hour basic course.



  • Principles on combustion and fire;
  • Combustion products;
  • The extinguishing substances;
  • Combustion triangle;
  • The main causes of a fire and risks to people;
  • Main measures and measures for prevention and protection against fires;
  • Procedures to be adopted when a fire is discovered or in the event of an alarm;
  • Escape routes and evacuation procedures;
  • Relationships with fire brigade;
  • Extinguishing equipment and systems;
  • Alarm systems, safety signs, emergency lighting;
  • Notes and explanations on the most widespread means of extinction;
  • Notes and explanations on personal protective equipment;
  • Exercises of extinguishing and personal protection equipment.


With a course attendance of at least 90% following the training hours and following passing the final test, each participant will receive a certificate of participation pursuant to the State-Regions Agreement 21 December 2011 and based on the Ministerial Decree 10 March 98, which is valid throughout the national territory.
